Professional Experience
Time and time again leadership positions have fallen into my host of responsibilities. I love learning as much as I love teaching, and I love teaching enthusiastic adult learners as much as I enjoy teaching children learners.
KINDERGARTEN TEAM LEADER
Advocate for the early childhood department: students foremost and teachers alike
Ongoing effective communication with the head of school, teachers, parents and students
Defined goals of the early childhood department (ECD) and grade levels based on age-appropriate expectations for school accreditations.
Developed published standards and expectations for the ECD for each subject based on age-appropriate developmental skills
Ensuring these goals were being met through student assessments and oversight of teacher’s work

MANAGER (TEACHERS, INTERNS)
For 6 months I was responsible for 6 interns at our school. I arranged for them to observe classes, do in-class work involving self-discovery, lead focus groups and lead discussions with questions and answer sessions. Interns had assignments to complete such as observation forms and presentations to give on what they learned and have improved on. They complete self-evaluations and peer evaluations to get the most out of the time they had working with native English-speaking teachers.

At various times in my career I encountered opportunities to freelance work or was put into situations where freelance was the best option such as during the covid crisis. this required having a business plan, target clientele and self-promotion and advertisement. Also including important time management, customer service and student satisfaction to keep customers.
